Establishment Overview

The Department of Economics, belonging to the School of Management, is one of the five original majors of National Chi Nan University. Graduate courses began recruiting students in July of 1995; the Bachelor’s program began recruiting in 1997. The two year Master’s program, as of now, consists of 15 students, while undergraduates studying a four year degree have a total of 275 students from each year. 

Regarding teachers, there are currently 11 full-time teachers who hold doctorates in economics from both local universities and those abroad. Among them, there are 3 professors, 7 associate professors, 1 assistant professors and four experts in the macroeconomics field; macroeconomics teachers are relatively abundant, with work in both theoretical and empirical research. The curriculum offered encompasses many economic subjects, all taught by experts in their field.
